Programme Highlight:

Digital Twin Seminar & Tour – 
CIC Digital Twin Hub serves as a one-stop shop to facilitate knowledge, nurture talent and inspire innovation in the field of digital twin and construction technology. In the first part of the training, the members will learn the concepts of Digital Twin via a seminar and guided tour in the CIC Digital Twin Hub. 

BIM Viewer Training – 
BIM personnel with BIM viewing skill (called “BIM Viewers” hereafter) is a role of those who needs to view and understand the BIM model. To cope with the surged demand of BIM Viewers in the construction industry in Hong Kong, the CIC offers the BIM Viewing Training in recent years. In the second part of the training, the members will experience the hands-on BIM Viewer Training workshop by CIC. 

Learning outcome: 
Upon completion of the BIM Viewer training, participants should be able to: 
▪ Understand what is BIM 
▪ Understand CIC's Resources for Practitioners 
▪ Understand there are different Common BIM Viewer Software (Free/charged) 
▪ Understand basic BIM workflow and standardisation of data 
▪ Open a BIM model 
▪ Navigate, select items and find information within a BIM model 
▪ Cut section within a BIM model 
▪ Measure dimensions within a BIM model 
▪ Mark comments within a BIM model 

Rundown: 
1. Seminar – What is Digital Twin and related concept 
2. Guided Tour – real-life applications of Digital Twin technology and technology showcases of Smart Site Safety System (SSSS) 
3. Hands-on Workshop – BIM Viewer training + Quiz* 
*The quiz after the BIM Viewer training is not mandatory. Participants who successfully get a minimum scope of 60% (12 out of the 20 questions of multiple choices) will obtain a BIM Viewer Certificate issued by CIC. 

CPD Certificate: 
CPD attendance certificate (3 hour credit) will be distributed to the participants after the workshop by email. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify and terminate those non-properly registered participants.

Application will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and priority will be given to members of HKIE Building Service Division. Successful members will be informed by a confirmation email on or before 22 April 2024.
