This visit is a joint activity of HKIE-BSD, ASHRAE-HKC and CIBSE-HKR.
Programme Outline:
Kai Tak District Cooling System (KTDCS) is a large-scale energy efficient green infrastructure, which is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. It takes advantages of economies of scale to improve energy efficiency of air-conditioning system, carbon reduction and resilience.
The technical visit to KTDCS North Plant will include an introduction for the implementation of district cooling system (DCS) at Kai Tak development as well as the knowledge related to district cooling and environmental aspects. In addition, a guided tour to the district cooling plant of which installed with the largest capacity of water-cooled chillers in Hong Kong will be provided and the featured special design for phased expansion of DCS to suit the development schedule of KTDCS will also be introduced.
